Which materials can be milled with the Core 5X?
The Core 5X is designed for dry milling of zirconia, PMMA, wax and other compatible CAD/CAM materials. Titanium, glass ceramics and materials requiring coolant must be processed with an appropriate wet-milling system.
What are the advantages of five-axis milling?
Five-axis movement provides improved access to complex geometries, angled restorations and undercut areas. It also allows more flexible nesting and supports efficient production of crowns, bridges, full-arch restorations and other dental applications.
Is the Core 5X compatible with open CAD/CAM workflows?
Yes. The Core 5X is designed as an open production platform and can work with compatible dental design files, CAM software and milling materials. Final compatibility depends on the selected CAM system, post-processor, tooling and machine configuration.
